Desperate!

I need a job. Any job will do at this point. My only barrier to employment is that I do not have a car & therefore must rely on Capital Metro for transportation. Anyone know anywhere a girl can get a job right away???

The majority of my experience is in medical office management & billing/collections. I have also worked as an office manager for s psychologist working with child protective services, as well as for a paint contracting company as an admin asst (I also maintain their website). This has been my most recent experience... say the past 7-8 years. Before that I have worked retail & been a self-employed makeup artist & even cleaned houses.

Basically, I can do damn near anything. I just need someone to give the chance to prove it. I work hard, I'm extremely detail oriented, good at multi-tasking & work well under pressure. I do have tattoos, but they can all be hidden, for the most part, under office attire. Also, my nose is pierced... it can come out during office hours if need be, but I've never had a problem with it before.

Any ideas? Let me know! Thanks.

I think Speedway printing is still looking for temps to help with course packets, they're in dobie mall.

I work for a commercial collection agency that's always looking for sales folks. Not the most glamorous job but fully paid training and serious potential in the income department if you do well.
Check it out.

Thanks. I looked them up online & they require 1 yr of sales experience, which I don't have.

You worked in billings/collections, yes? They may waive the 1 yr of sales experience. Or else you could move to Houston and be a collector =)

Try hitting up PPD, they hire you to help them with their studies. I don't remember the title. Starting pay is $15/hr.

PPD=Pharmaceutical Product Development

They do a lot of pharmaceutical testing in Austin. My mom used to work for them, but she went off to do other, related things. She started there and she's doing pretty well now.

Here is the employment page:

Re: hmm

You might try heading on down to the ACC Rio Grande campus and the University of Texas to look for jobs too. If you need cheap transportation, you can take the Capital Metro bus if you need to. Their phone number is toll free 1-800-474-1201 and they can tell you where and how to get most places in Austin using their buses.
